This large window-sized painting really does need to be seen to be appreciated. We love the way it creates the illusion of an open window. ‘Trompe l’oeil’ or ‘fool the eye’ is a recurring theme in Julie’s work. (Another example can be seen here)
We are delighted to offer limited edition prints of one of Julie’s personal favourite paintings. The scene was initially sketched from a high point in San Gimignano. Over the olive trees we see the church of Sant’ Agostino and the beautiful Tuscan landscape receding into the distance.
